14-day Residency & exhibition project designed for two artists in Athens.
ONE + ONE is a residency project + presentation for international artists, jewelers, crafters, performers, filmmakers and designers who wish to explore Athens’ rich cultural life, art and traditions, and present their work in an event / publication / video.

ONE + ONE provides shared or single accommodation and studio space in central Athens for two artists who wish to share ideas and experiences, and present their work or project to an international audience. Participating artists can choose between:
A) an individual artist presentation in SMCK Magazine's online + print publication
B) the creation and submission of a video to the SMCK On Reel video festival
C) a special event or performance at the end of their residency in Athens.
The ONE + ONE residency program also includes a customized introduction to the ancient and contemporary Greek culture (online introductory course + two guided visits at Unesco sites, museums and art venues), individual networking advice, tips on Athens' secret addresses, as well as advice for the realization of the artist's project.

The ONE + ONE residency includes:
• Online introduction before arrival: ONE + ONE and contemporary Greek life and culture.
• 14 days / 13 nights accommodation in (central) Athens.
• Guided city tour plus visit at Unesco sites, museums and art venues.
• Three optional presentation formats:
a) publication in SMCK Magazine's next digital/print issue
b) Participation in SMCK On Reel video festival (online and live presentation)
c) special event or performance in Athens
• Support and advice for the presentation / publication / video
• Individual networking, promotion, social media support + press release
• Website and online/print magazine documentation
Disciplines: Artists who work in the field of sculpture, painting, installation, photography, performance, textile art, comics, design, ceramics, jewelry art, as well as designers, crafters, art theorists, art historians, curators are encouraged to apply.
Application requirements: We accept applications from individual artists and from already existing artist duos. Artists must be at least 30 years of age.
Residency duration: 14 days (13 nights). The residency period begins on Monday and ends on Sunday.
Residency fee: 950 EUR / paid in two installments by the (each) artist. The fee includes all the above services. It does not include travel fares, museums' and archaeological sites entry tickets, meals, artist material or tools.
